Have you ever convinced yourself of having a medical condition?

Have you ever read or heard about any medical condition so much that you felt convinced you actually had it? I read about appendicitis a few times during one school year in three or four places. Two cousins of mine had it. I started to worry that every time I had a pain in my right side it was appendicitis.
