A fire that began on Thursday morning in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood in Chicago destroyed a two story home.
What makes this story kind of bittersweet is that 9 out of the 10 members who lived in the home plus two dogs were able to escape the fire that started in the second floor.
Tatiana Wilson, 19, could have stayed away from attempting to save the life of her four year old brother Davanon who was trapped inside the burning building.
Tatiana decided to run inside the burning building and risk her life to save the life of her younger brother from possibly being burned to death in the house fire.
When Tatiana was able to get out of the burning home with her younger brother, they both came out with burns over their body when the paramedics arrived to take them to the University of Chicago trauma center where Tatiana is located at while her younger brother is being treated for burns at the Comer Children's Hospital in Chicago with serious to critical conditions.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities. I just hope both kids will make it alive after their horrible experience in the fire.

It is the We Are Family mentality that I like about both kids.

Tatiana could have stayed on the sidelines. She did what she could to save her younger brother.
