Beautiful reddish orange flowers dominate the base of the candle tree in my sister's yard. It was good my husband did not ran over it as we parked near the tree.
It's so beautiful; nature at it's best. I think the heavy rains last week helped it sprout with those flowers only; I think the leaves will grow later when the flowers wilted.
I didn't know the name of the plant, but it has bulbs underneath and blooms only once a year usually in May. I can call it Mayflower!

oh dear, here i'd thought the pic thingy'd been corrected? perhaps 'tis jest movin' 'round the site...
bet those're beautiful! wonder what sort'a flower that'd be? there's many bulb plants that only bloom a short time 'n i aint familiar with what all grows'n yer part 'f the country.
i do love that eye candy that nature provides!

It is also called golden showers, with lots of small, light yellow flowers that falls as if it is raining snow . And the fruits are long, with hard covering; one may get injured if it falls on one's head.
