Friend is going to a funeral today. I would have gone as well, but it is in Arlington, (Crystal City) very urban, and would cost a alot of money and time to get all the way up there, plus the traffic would be bad. Angela was a government worker, and a well paid one. She was basically alone in the area, as she never married and most of her family was either deceased or in Puerto Rico and NYC. It took forever for her body to be claimed. She was a nice lady, and was here once for Thanksgiving. She had some degree of dementia, and I think basically worried herself to death over her car. I think her life was happy until she retired though. RIP Angela! You were a good person!

I didn't really consider her to be a friend per se, but she was pretty close with my friend. She was more like the friend of a friend. Thanks

Sorry to hear about Angela's passing. It's never a good thing to hear about losing another soul from this earth. I have heard that so many people are happy with their life until they retire. Then their lives become miserable. I don't think a lot of people actively plan what they are going to do in retirement, and suddenly find themselves with too much time on their hands and not enough activities to fill it with. I have spent the past five years or so actively planning all the things I want to do when I retire. I can't wait to tackle the ever-growing list! By the way, I calculated that at my current rate of saving, I will be able to retire comfortably when I'm 122 years old! LOL
