Stones on Graves

In the Jewish tradition, stones are placed on the graves of loved one’s a reminder that the memories of the loved one will not whither away and die the way flowers do!
I knew nothing of this custom but when you are researching a book about the Granddaughter of a Holocaust Survivor, you discover something new!
I actually find the practice to be beautiful, a stone will last forever, flowers whither and die!
