I've just written an article for Hubpages about a Victorian murder. This is my favourite period in British history. So much was happening here. It was this period in history that helped form the British Empire; the suffragettes were making their presence felt and rail travel really took off.
I love British history from the Medieval period right up to the early to mid 20th century but there's just something about the Victorians that keeps my interest piqued.

The Victorian period is one of my favorites, but so is the Tudor Period. Honestly, I haven't been focusing on British History as much as I once did. I am getting a little more into the history of the US. I am also quirky with what I will look up / read about / listen to / watch when it comes to history. Right now I've been learning more about the clothes worn during the Victorian era.

I still wonder how women used to cope with those huge bustles! Must have been a nightmare to get through doors and sit down!!!

@olliesmum Ive watched videos on those type things. They were collapsible. Attending to the toilet might have been a bit trickier, but they found ways to manage it.

@olliesmum Yes, they had so many layers to put on. They would baulk at our fashion sense nowadays!

It was a lovely period. Everyone was out to have fun following the First World War. As a woman I have to say the fashions were beautiful.
