Finally had old files transferred

My last desktop got screwed because of too many fans that caused the power supply unit to overload. Then there's a virus that caused the OS to change to ubuntu.
I thought i can never get the files back. Until Dad sent his old Desktop that was included in the box. I got it to work and tried my Hard disk but as i mentioned in my last post, it has a log in pass word that forgot.
So I went to a computer store because now I have an additional Hard disk that can transfer my files. Didn't spent much but it was worth it. Some of those files were around before the year 2010.

i had computer problems and was worried since the hard disk was new. but the technician didn't find anything wrong. said it was probably a virus and didn't charge me anything.

@Letranknight2015 he said he did a virus scan immediately when he booted the pc and it didn't hang once while it was at his shop, so maybe he's right and i appreciate that he didn't ask for payment.

Hello @hereandthere Well, mine was pretty old, But I'm going to asked the technician if he could upgrade it to 500gb. Those viruses wre nasty.
