Yardwork and Shopping: What a Combination!

Today we finally got the yard mowed over at our other house in Louisiana. The grass was very high and up to our knees. What a mess. The only problem was that my hubby ended up throwing the belt off the mower which took about 30 minutes to tear down the machine and get the belt back on. It actually took longer to find the correct size rachet to unscrew a few places. I trimmed azaleas (or tired to) but had to stop due to briars growing in them and I did not bring any gloves today. I did get some of the climbing rose trimmed back off the antenna in the back yard. We grabbed a burger and fries for a quick lunch and when we finished the yardward, my hubby suggested we go ahead and pick up the railroad ties for our raised garden bed we have been talking about putting in for some time. I agreed and we came home to relax for a little bit before heading out to pick up the railroad ties. We got the railroad ties loaded with the help of a forklift, picked up a trellis that I want to put a muscadine vine on and I grabbed some flea treatment for the doggies. Off to eat dinner at the local Arby's. My hubby tells me on the way home that he hopes that we can get the railroad ties off the truck. That may be very interesting. The ground is mushy from all the rain and there will be no driving into the middle of the yard without getting stuck. So we will just have to wait and see what happens. These buggers are heavy too.
