Officially Working Again

Well I have taken a job as a home health aid for my grandmother and soon I will be working for my mother as well. Between the 2 I should be getting plenty of hours and be able to help with bills, rent, and saving up for our first house. I am hoping to be able to have a little spending money left over as well but we shall see. I know my husband is going to be relieved that I will be working so the burden of being the only one providing won't be on his shoulders anymore. What is better is that we wont have to worry about child care because I can keep my son with me even while i work. I am considering going back to school for a career change though. I know that being a home health aid won't be as convenient when my grandmother and mother are gone and I have thought about a change in career at the beginning of the year. I am considering becoming a mortician or maybe even a coroner. I have no problem working with the dead. What do you do as a career? Have you switched careers in your life? If so, what did you switch to?

I'm glad that you've been able to find something. For the time being, I'm working from home, trying to get a business going. It's not easy being on one income (my husband's). Things are tight, but hopefully, I can earn an income and help make things a little easier, financially.

@IvySaysHi It's not easy for sure. It's a health/fitness business. It may not be easy, but I am trying.

I'm a freelance writer/editor and I write adult fiction novels in thrillers and romantic suspense. I'm hoping to land an agent this summer and post some good news here real soon.
