There is a saying - Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I believe in this dictum.

That's a very good spirit. If we have this notion, then I think - we will get less affected with the outcome.

@AKRao24 : True. We learn from our experience and the next problem in our life requires a different kind of experience. We will not be fully prepared to face it unless we take everything with ease.

@smileyhema I kinda learned at a young age to not get excited for things that may not happen. Though my approach is sadly a negative one. I do believe that thinking positively can help assist you positive results but we also need to think logically and not expect things that are completely out of reach for that will only lead to disappointment.
For me, I personally try to think of a positive and possible outcomes while still preparing for the worst.

That is a great way of handling things. That shows your maturity. Really! As you'd mentioned, one has to think of practical solution to a problem rather than attaching our heart to the problem and becoming emotional at the end.
Well said!

@smileyhema Thank you kindly. It's why I personally don't believe in the saying "Anything is possible." Because the real truth is, not everything is possible. I think that saying was made to make people feel better.

It's hard but I am usually resigned to my fate and take it from there.

"Expectations kills" ...so it's better not to expect, be it wealth, fame, name or whatever. If expectation and reality coincide with each other , it results in happiness. But, on the contrary, the things what we have been expecting for, did not happen in the reality, it would be really very difficult to handle the situation.
So, what I wanted to say here is, " Happy are those people, who least expect..." :-)

You have faced reality without exception. While expectations is uncertain whether it will or not due to circumstances.

@Nakitakona Very practical response. Our human emotions are bounded to this. We can't digest anything bad happening for the situation where we'd put great effort and time.

@smileyhema But there's nothing worthwhile to expect good from everything. We want happiness in our life. If we do good things, can't we not expect good results in return? That's the law of nature. Love begets love.
