The Oath of Office for US Government Officials and Employees...

Everyone working for the United States government at any level is required to take an oath of office. There are minor differences in the oaths for different levels, but they all include swearing to support the US Constitution. Many elected officials have come to violate that oath, and proudly do it. They speak out against the constitution in favor of their own myopic social and political agenda. In other words, they are liars and criminals. Some lawmakers even claim they have no responsibility to making sure a bill they are sponsoring or debating is Constitutional. They say the Marbury vs Madison Supreme Court decision gives all responsibility of Constitutionality to the Supreme Court. That is a lie. The US Supreme Court has no say whatsoever on the constitutionality of a bill before Congress. With a couple of exceptions, they can't touch a law until a case is brought up in lower courts and makes its way to them. They have no jurisdiction to rule on a bill at all. If we are going to require all government officials to take the oath of office, the least we can do is hold them to it... Regardless of political party. In fact, we should be holding those we support to a higher standard than those we oppose. In our weakness and lack of integrity, we tend to do the opposite.

I think all government workers who take an oath of office should be true to that oath

Me too. It bothers me that so many Americans have contempt for the US Constitution instead of respect for it. The fact that so many who have taken oaths to support it hold it in contempt is even worse.
