National Vanilla Pudding Day 1906 - The Wright brothers are granted a U. S. patent for their "Flying Machine". 1915 - Lassen Peak (in northern California) erupts. The only volcano other than Mount St. Helens to erupt in the United States in the 20th century. 1950 - Bernie Taupin is born. He's an English lyricist, poet and singer. Well known for being Elton John's lyricist. Since 1967 he's been working with Elton. Some of the MANY songs that they've worked together on: Rocket Man, Crocodile Rock, Tiny Dancer, Candle in the Wind, Bennie and the Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I'm Still Standing and Daniel. I am a big fan of vanilla pudding. Bernie Taupin is a wonderful lyrists. I have loved his songs for year.
