Oh no! Not 'nother!

hubs 'new' jeep

Yup, fer those that read 'bout the 1st 'un, here's the sequel. 'bout'n hour 'fter the camper slithered 'nto my drive, this came. 'fore ya write 't, 'tis 'n good shape fer'n 1983 Jeep. All original outside 'f the soft top. Do we need such? Nope. I told the hubs he needed to clean out one 'f the many garages here so's he could put this new 'toy' safely outta harms way (aka: hail storms, fallin' tree branches, his horde 'f feral cats 's well 's the resident fox who chases 'forementioned feral cats). 't first he 'twas quite keen'n the idea 'n I offered my services (been itchin' to get rid 'f some 'f his "schtuff" fer years). 'twas a fleetin' moment though 's such's been here now a month 'n still sits out'n the weather. The logic bein' if'n he leaves such next to the road, the cats/fox 'll be less 'nclined to use such's a get'way. When threats 'f a storm come, he parks't closer to the trees. So, 'm wonderin' if'n such's actually a mid-life crisis ('n these thingies come'n 3's, yes? no?) 'r if'n he's jest plum gone off his rocker. The new "Master Plan"? He's a friend who's also goin' elk 'n deer huntin' this autumn. He's also'n ol' Jeep. This fella 'tis gonna pull the flat bed 'hind the camper, 'hind the truck with both Jeeps. My head so hurts. Wonderin' if'n single life'd be any worse?

@bunnybon7 no worries, hon. i consider this self-inflicted'n i'd be the only'un who can repair the damage. i really need to quit complainin' 'bout this fella 's i feel this gives 'im power (which he craves), e'en though he's nary a clue i've done so.

I like it! You'll never get stuck with that one! Wouldn't need more than one though. And a mid-life crisis concentrated on cars isn't unusual. I assume he has more cars. If he's away elk hunting for a weekend, couldn't the stuff in a garage just suddenly disappear? Maybe someone steals it?

oh, aint bad lookin'. this'd be his 2-fer surprise a few weeks back. a 5th wheel camper 'n then this. we've not a need fer either 'xcept fer the 1 week a year he goes huntin'. the schtuff'n the garages (i've 4 garages, one o'ersized - 35x40' 'n a large critter/hay barn he's cabbaged 'nto) 'll be cleaned best i can when he aint here. ya wanna see a grown fella 've a fit?? try to do such whilst he's here. "DONT TOUCH MY STUFF" 'd be what i get...'long with some other schtuff we shan't discuss here.

@crazyhorseladycx He must have some gene in common with my father. He has filled his flat, out summer house, three storage rooms and all other possible place he can fit thing into with stuff. I had a horse trailer in town for a while, he started filling it with stuff too. When I throw things away he gets very nervous and claims that it can be used some day! When the apocalypse comes maybe. That's when we need it. 10 year old papers, 15 year old computers and 80 year old Christmas decorations. Plus booze.

@Torunn yes!! they must be! we'd finally a storm come through today 'n he 'twas out parkin' trucks'n that danged jeep'n what he considers 'strategic places'. he asked me if'n i wished him to put all the woodworkin' schtuff, mis-matched windows'n all the other, uhm 'schtuff', out'n the weather 'nstead. well, duh! the hubs he 'tis that way. he's ol' freezers 'n fridges out'n a part 'f my pasture e'en - ya know, jest'n case somebody might need such....like 't'd work if'n such occasion 'rrived. he's also my 3 horse slant with a dressin' room/limited livin' quarters piled high, 's well 's my stock trailer filled with 'schtuff'. i used to fit 520 bales 'f hay'n my barn. ya can't e'en get'n the door now. my wide driveway 'tis to the point ya can park'n the side 'f the road 'n hike to the house. this latter 'fter i spent 5 days movin'/rearrangin' that which 'twas already there. took 'im less'n a week to fill't all 'p' gain. anythin' anybody wishes to dispose 'f, he cabbages 'nto. i believe part 'f my troubles's i'm drownin' 'n 'schtuff'. 'tis e'erywhere i turn. he's e'en prone to doin' such'n my wee sanctuary, so's i gotta clean'p constant 'fter 'im..... here, he hides the booze. no doubt why he gets so violent 't the mention 'f me clearin' these places out. sigh...i'm jest gettin' too ol' fer this kind'a life.

I also don't like to clean the bedroom if my husband is there with me. But he is so considerate when I tell my husband to go out of he bedroom for at least 30 minutes, because i will be cleaning it.

@crazyhorseladycx I think it's because he is afraid that you will ask him to help you in cleaning the house.

'n dunno 'f a train from these parts to there? might be somethin' to check 'nto though... 'twas tryin' to recall my last vacation. believe such 'twas back'n 1990?? 've been 'way from here, but 'twas all medical reasons 'n most 'npleasant.

@crazyhorseladycx lol..does he at least try and keep up with maintenance and such in between the time its used? Both the Jeep and camper? I'd be afraid that if he didn't keep on top of the camper, snakes could get in it.

@simone10 well, both're rather newly 'cquired so such's not been a huge concern'f mine. my fears'd be that we're gonna get one'f those monster hail storms'n both'll get greatly damaged. don't fear snakes gettin' 'nto the camper. that'd be one good thingy 'bout all these danged cats - they tend to keep those slithery critters 'way. there'd be a skunk here 's well who aids 'n bein' that snake repellent, lol.

if'n such 'twas a matter 'f wee schtuff, that'd be simple to 'ccomplish. 'nfortunately these'd be large 'n heavy items 'n i'd need great 'ssistance. there be plenty'f room fer a large portion if'n only he'd not jest leave schtuff willy-nilly.

Oh my gosh I totally miss this news here. I seriously cannot believe he got this too ! I know some boys need their toys, but these vehicle thingies are beyond the size and maintenance of "toys" . I think some people may feel the need to have "stuff" . . . it makes them feel good to have "stuff" . . . and I guess some take comfort in "cars" maybe . I will say it's kinda cute though . . . I have a friend who is dreaming about owning a jeep or an RV - and going on road adventures - on her own. I will tell you she IS having a mid life crisis and is taking vacations solo currently without her family (she is going to France in a couple weeks ).

lol, no worries :) i couldn't neither, but alas, such 'tis so. such'd not bother 's much, but fer the purpose 'f jest huntin' once a year?? uhm.... he'd be one'f those folks who seems to need 'schtuff'. e'erywhere. broken schtuff, ol' schtuff, jest schtuff. i'd finally the need to actually say, if'n ya bring one more thingy'n this house, yer gonna die...yup, i did! she's goin' to france without family?? hmmm, must be plum fed 'p with that bunch, eh? if'n i could drive successfully'n a regular basis, i'd be hookin' that camper to truck (leave 'im the yukon) 'n takin' off fer parts 'nknown 'til i got there, lol. nah, he'd not tend my critters proper...wonder if'n i could get a bumper pull 4 horse trailer'n pull such 'hind? 'tis a cute lil jeep. i'm tryin' to figure if'n i recall how's to drive such? 'tis a 6 speed'n the floor. i love the simplicity 'f the dashboard, lol.

You do have some unusual critters showing up at your place. I hope this new four-legged/wheeled critter will be of use to him. Cleaning out the garage would have been a better use of his free time than wandering and coming back with the said critter. Maybe he has gone off his rocker. I hope he gets use out of it.

he's turned to bein' a selfish 'n petty fella. i remind myself 't least 't aint 'nother pup 's that used to be what he'd drag home quite oft. he's taken 't out a couple times out here 'n 'dores 't. 's fer actual use?? i'm thinkin' a couple times a year'd not be worth the 'nsurance paid. if'n 'tis like when he used to haul a couple 'f my horses (to hunt off 'n pack out if'n needed), such'll sit 't the camp 'n they'll go off'n my big truck...
