Slavery, Human Trafficking, two different ways to spell the same thing.

I wish we didn't have to play political or social word games. We have to call the modern slave trade "human trafficking" because the term "slavery" has basically been patented by history.
The term slavery itself has nothing particularly to do with Africa or even Black people. In fact it refers to White Eastern Europeans. The term refers to the ethnic group known as the Slave.
However, while people of every race and ethnic group has been enslaved at one point or another in the history of Mankind, none were as institution and ingrained in slavery as Black people of the African Continent.
So since there really is no won to that fight, we use a term that means exactly the same thing, but doesn't step on any social ir political toes.
Human Trafficking happens in most counties of the world. It's an equal opportunity destroyer. People of all races, enthic groups, socio-economic classes, occupations, genders and age groups are found among the Traffickers, Trafficking Victims and Buyers.
No one gets to point their finger saying no one their demographic would never do anything so despicable, or so allow themselves to be trafficked.
We should fight Human Traffickers and their "customer" as boldly as past generations fought against the African Slave Trade.

It makes me Mad when people think it does not happen here, and I live in one of the biggest areas untalked about when it comes to what really happens here. It is sad that it is such a problem and so many tend to ignore it. I guess when it happens to someone they know then they might think of it as an issue?

No, Slav is the name of a real ethnic group, not a derrogatory term for them.
