Yes. Ten hours of no electricity in our block.
We got home yesterday afternoon from the hotel, merely 30 minutes after we got home the heavy rain suddenly pour down then we heard a loud thud and boom the electricity went off. It was 5 pm.
Waiting is the hardest part of it all with no fan and light and it is time to sleep. Should have I known this will happen we could have stayed for another night at the hotel. I am thankful to the powerbank and a usb light that gave us light throughout the night. I have to use a native fan to get some air for the kids to sleep. We camp out in the living room and open the lanai door so some night air can get inside.
We lay down a mattress beside the lanai screen door. Good thing there were no mosquitoes and other insects.
3am, the power came back.
How are you all doing?

Yes that is really true the waiting seems like forever already. I think some electric post got hit by a lightning that is why you lost power in your area. Goo thing that in my place thunderstorms are usually not strong there are few places in here that are prone to it and there are those that are not.

@rakski that happened here, too, in the past. sometimes only a few streets are affected.

I would be pissed. But not that much since I got myself a batter operated fan.

@rakski i've seen those even inside jeepneys. one time i even saw one woman inside the mall fanning herself with it. i guess the mall's a/c is not cold enough for her!

Yes it is rough being without electricity when the weather is either hot or cold. I am glad it finally came back on.

@rakski thank god it's still summer and no school yet. it would be hard for the kids to wake up and stay awake in school.

We had such bad and long power cuts in the past as that time our residential Complex was new and the Transformer would explode now and then and the people really suffered as it used to take so much time to get repaired..... but now it's all well
..
thanks to God
