Bought a new keyboard today

Philippines
May 27, 2019 12:27am CST
I went to the mall browse for the new but quality keyboard. Saw one and want to take a peek so I open the box. But the staff caught me so I asked him to tested it instead. This old key board had already sticky letters, numbers and the space bar. I think i bought it back in 2017 so i guess two years is such a long time. Happy with the new one, so easy to type now not causing me stress. Have a nice day

this old keyboard is starting to act up, but still manageable. had problems with the memory recently, though.

@Letranknight2015 oh, the memory thing has fixed been already by the technician. regarding the keyboard, a few keys are starting to dip to one side but it's still okay. just the occasional iiiiiiii sometimes hahaha! i'll keep using it until it's unusable.

Hello @hereandthere Make time and have it replaced before it ruins your fingers. If it's the memory, you could consult it with the technician. Now, I'm thinking of saving again to buy new one.

@hereandthere Maybe I should have my laptop cleaned instead, that might help.

Yeah most electronic gadgets usually last 2 years before they start to wear out. Especially if you use them very often it would start to show some problems with it.

@hereandthere Actually the older keyboards were very hardy than the ones that are used today which usually has a lifetime of 2 years the most.

I had my old laptop fixed and one of the keys kept on pressing. The technician at the service center asked if I want him to disable the keyboard and just buy an external keyboard but I said, just leave it as is. I love the built in keyboard of my laptop because it is soft to touch, even better than my new laptop's keyboard. So, what he did was, he removed the key (F1) and put something on it so that it won't be pressed anymore. It's good it is the F1 that is malfunctioning.

Hello @brokenbee This is why I prefer using the desktop keyboard instead. I don't know if the technician would fix my keyboard, i think he would refused. I had tried to have him fix my head set but he recommended me buying new one instead.

@Letranknight2015 maybe it is cheaper if you buy a new one instead of repairing it that's why he refused to fix your headset. I think my built in keyboard could not be fixed anymore, so he just did something, like a remedy, so that the key won't be pressing all the time and the pop up window, HELP, won't show up everytime. Disabling the keyboard would mean I have to buy a new one too and that would cost me more. I have no more budget for that, this time. LOL I already spent so much on the repair of my old lappy... coz he had to replace the HDD and charger... He also did a reformat, and cleaning...

It is so much easier to work when you have the right equipment and when the equipment is in good operating order. It sounds like you made a very good decision. I hope your new keyboard serves you well.

@Letranknight2015 Usually my husband and I are very careful about what we're spending money on. A few years ago we bought a computer keyboard, not because we needed a new one but because it had an extra feature that was not on our current one. That really was not our best decision. We got it for our business but did not need it. We had a mild case of buyer's remorse. Thankfully, we are fully recovered.
