The local starlings have done well this year, with many successful feldgings. I took this shot in my garden just now, with the young birds still demanding to be fed by their parents!

It's probably more than one family. As I am writing this I can hear a huge commotion outside and I can see at least 30 birds on the grass and the bird feeders.

That's like a kindergarden for starlings. I now seagulls have kindergardten. The young gulls wade around at the beach with a few grown-ups watching while most of the grown-ups are out somewhere, finding food.
