I've been having trouble with the port on my phone recently. I have to hold my charger a certain way to get it to charge. It IS the port and not the cables themselves.
Well today I broke the cable. My phone fell on the floor with the charger cable plugged in. It bent the metal part and while I did bend it back, it separated something inside and no longer works.
I just ordered another one.
I want to look at getting a wireless charger but I need to find one that works for my phone. A friend had a wireless charger at her house the other day but my phone would not charge with her wireless charger.
So yeah, now my phone is off to conserve the battery until the new charger gets here. I guess I could have gone out to get a new microUSB cord (and still could, because you can never have enough) but I decided to use my ebates to get a few cents back on the purchase.
Done anything stupid lately?

This sounds like a common problem... because my sister's tablet was also having the same problem...but yeah we got it repaired

I have insurance on my phone and I think it would cover this. I need to call my provider and ask, of course after I get the new charger.

@Kuttu_007 I don't want to spend extra money if I can help it. We don't have charging docks cables available for public use here.

@ScribbledAdNauseum is your battery replaceable...? If yes, you could still charge it with a multi charger available in the market..until the new charger reaches you.

I might be able to borrow the charging cord for my uncle's phone, but I am not sure. In the mean time, I will just wait for the new cord to arrive. I don't need to be on my phone all the time anyway.

@Aansh13 Thank You. I am sure I will be fine until the charger arrives. I purchased it online before 1 2 pm. a lot of ebay sellers ship same day if you purchase before 1 pm.

Sometimes the port itself can have a bit of dirt in it. My dog chews my chargers up :(

I've blown into the port because I thought it could have something like that in it. It hasn't helped.
