The Land Of Enchantment

That'd be New Mexico's logo fer the state. 'tis fer certain that the sunsets 're oft a beautiful palette 'f dreamy colors that deepen with time 'fore the sun turns to slumber 'n the moon shines bright. Times such's these, I wish I'd a playa nearby filled with heavenly waters. Such's magical to witness the reflection, playin' 'mong the ripples 's a breeze makes't dance. The scurry 'f furry creatures out'n the hunt, 'r those tryin' not to be prey. The rains've come yet 'gain 'n with any luck, I can time such'n event. Jest need to check a few playas within a few miles 'f here 'n sit'n wait fer that wonderful paintbrush 'f Mother Nature to 'ppear. Do ya 'njoy watchin' the sunrises 'n sunsets where ya reside? I sit mesmerized quite oft, 't times fergettin' to e'en grab the camera. Choosin' 'nstead to take such personal 'n deep.

felt blessed to see such 'nfold. the colors 'ntensified 's 't went'n. i fear i couldn't capture such clearly 's darkness 'pproached. the eyes aint workin' proper these days, prolly'd my camera'n the wrong settin'.. yes ma'am, glad fer the rains 'n this'n came's the ground 'tis still open. the vegetation 's doin' the happy dance 'n the birds 'd be singin' this morn whilst hoppin' 'round gatherin' bugs from the dewy grasses.

@crazyhorseladycx It's a glorious sunset. You captured it just fine. I'm sure all the critters and vegetation were happy with the rain.

you sure have a wonderful way with words my dear. I can no longer do that as my window here is closed with blinds not like the old house where I could see out most all the time and I don't seem able to get up like I used to sadly. thanks for the lovely sight though.

@crazyhorseladycx with the blinds I am afraid if one of us tries opening them they might either fall apart or not be able to close them again. so much is old, bad, and messed up in this place we had to move. into.

dang, we could jest sit'n yer porch fer hours'n peruse through each others pics, eh? oh, i do love 'em! oh, that sunrise. i miss gettin' pics'f those most oft due to bein' out feedin' horses their breakfast. the painted sunrises're much shorter lived than the settin' 'f the sun.

I love the colors of the sky on those kinds of sundowns . . . sometimes nature just feels like doing something creative and you can't help but stare up there. We have big windows here (well not super big, but perhaps a lot of them) so we are able to see the sunrise or sunset from inside . . . but other houses and trees are in the way, so we can't see the horizon parts. I really should take more photos . . . yah, often it's just better to soak in that beautiful moment for what it is.

'tis the pitfall 'f folks 'xpandin', they block some gorgeous views. i'm 'xperiencin' such myself out here. too many trees/houses/electric poles :( i miss the solitude i'd once 'd. i believe some'f those sunsets'n rises're jest meant fer those that take the time to breathe'n their beauty? a spiritual moment i reckon? i dunno, but i've many times dropped what i'd be doin' 'n jest sat'n watched such splendor. no thoughts'f racin' fer a camera. jest lettin' such come o'er me'n soothe my bein'. yes ma'am! ya need to get busy with that pic takin'! 'd love to see yer 'dventures 's yer terrain 'n beauty differs from here.

It's over 40 years--I was driving in my white Caddy convertible with the top down (I had money those days which is why I don't have any today!!) from Albuquerque to Santa Fe around sunset and the most beautiful sky appeared--I had to pull over to the side and just sat there being overwhelmed by the colors--it was a 'gift' Mother Nature gave me and I have never forgotten!

I lived in New Mexico for a number of years. It is a beautiful state and is very colorful with the deserts, mountains, lakes, and spectacular sunsets and sunrises. I miss the beauty, but there is ugliness too. You take the good with the bad. Your photo is beautiful.

@crazyhorseladycx I do not leave Israel now. The last time I traveled and that was to the States was in 1989 and was there too long and when finally got Home I do not leave. If need to see something I can see it here. The news I watch or read is online and it is one or two news stations we have here in Israel.
