Who would have thought Socialist, Ultra Left Wing Rep. Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez and Capitalist, Ultra Right Wing Sen. Ted Cruz would ever come together on anything. However, they have, and for a great bill. As it stands members of the House and Senate have a short waiting period before they can return to capital hill, working for Lobby Groups. They use their insider information they gained as elected officials to leverage, bend arms and otherwise wine and dine elected officials to vote according to their new employers' wishes and demands. Cruz and Ocassio-Cortez are working to close that revolving door for good. If the bill they are working on passes, anyone who serves in the House or Senate can never be a lobbyist. Ever. Sounds like something worth supporting to me!
