Today it was 81 degrees which means it can get over 100 degrees in a car with in a good 10 minutes. I honestly can see a dog or a child stuck in a hot car. Today we where coming out of Target and this women, and 3 kids left the dog in the car alone with none even a window cracked open. It’s a law in all states not to leave pets or kids in a car alone in the the heat. So my husband called the none emergency police and told them which car and were. We left before they go there since we had to continue on with are stuff and knowing the area is heavily populated with cops that one would enjoy on there with in minutes.

Here happens the same, animals and small kids are left in the car when it is too hot and die. You did the right thing calling the police.

Thank you! The kids are a very big help. They spotted it and said something which then allowed us to get the dog some help.

@nela13 I’m sure they did. We where live we are heavily populated with police, fire state and EMT. The fire state was right down the road, a police station and a second one is just a few short minutes for the Mall in the summer time when hot and on the weekend they patrol more often.

Good questions. As a parent I know some times we forget I’ve almost done it once but it was like oh right the front of the car the baby that’s right and my husband looked at me like a coo coo. Um she is on your side of the car I was driving dummy get her. I have never left forgot the kids being there in the car nor left an animal alone either.

@Starkinds yes you have a responsibility to teach them, raise them and hopefully they learn and accept what you try to teach them. But they are there own person so the choice they make affects them and some life things they must do and learn in there own. So she learned if caught in a lie she is going to be in more trouble then if she is being honest with her parent when asked a question. I’ve always told them tell me the truth because if I find out it’s not true your going to be in a world more trouble. My 8 year old says mistakes mean it’s okay you learn from them. I tell she is right.

@ShyBear88 I hate when people do that. They should be arrested and have their pet taken away from them. That is so cruel. Why do people not think. They should not have a pet if they treat them this way. It does not take much to put the window down so the pet can have air.

@Hannihar it is a law at least in the US it is all over. No leaving animals or small children in cars

@ShyBear88 It should be a law and all the animal rights groups should do something about it and get people to understand that you cannot do this to a dog or cat. They have feelings too.

Why would anybody do that to their pet? What's wrong with the people these days, I don't let my dog roam outside the room, because it's so hot, he might get sick

I honestly do joke it’s the same reason why does anyone leave the kid in a car alone in the heat.
