Dead Pig

Yeah, we saw one on the side of the interstate the other day. Just laying there, and I couldn't tell for just how long. I guess it hadn't been too long, maybe earlier that morning.
There's no telling how it happened, whether it was a pig that somehow got loose in transport, whether it was already dead when it was in transport... Either way, it was on the side of the interstate for everyone to see.
I'm guessing someone has reported it and they've cleaned it up by now. I believe it was just enough in the road to cause some problems, but I can't be sure since I only saw it for a second.
I've seen plenty of road kill, but I'd have to say that's the first time I've seen a dead pig on the side of the road.

I am not sure if it was left on purpose, or if somehow got out without the driver knowing. It could have been a wild pig, I'm not sure.

Oh, it must have been hit and run then?

I saw once a pig sleeping on a road. Pigs are not chipped/tattooed to identify them here. As they can do a lot of damage to a car in case of accident, it may be difficult to find the owner. I would not be surprised if a pig responsible of an accident was abandoned by its owner.

I don't think that this pig was abandoned because it was responsible for an accident, but it might have caused an accident. It was sort of near the median but out enough that it could cause problems.I believe the speed limit was 65 on that stretch of highway.

Where I live; there is a lot of wild pigs that could get hit by a vehicle and die. I can not think of anybody around here that are raising pigs on a farm.

This was near the state capital. I was surprised to see it there.
