Today can't be Tuesday, because Tuesday was last week!

There are 7 days in a week. So basically you repeat every 7 days over and over forever? No wonder people think the earth is flat. We go round in circles and get nowhere fast. And tell me it is your birthday today? You were born only once, so in theory, according to the principles of logic and scientific method, and the big bang theory, you only get one birthday so if you think you are getting older it is because you have replaced every molecule in your body basically every 7 years so every 7 years you are basically renewed so you can say in theory you age one lifetime every 7 years but since you have more wrinkles and pain in your joints and some added belly fat, it is simply because the earth's gravity is getting the best of you. If you add some extra logic to this equation you might have to say simply this: You are living every second your heart beats and you take a breath, in every second and you die every moment in between each breath you exhale. In a matter of speaking you die every night you go to sleep and surrender to the elements of random chance, and you never really know if you will wake up the next day or ever. You inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. With every blink of an eye, you are momentarily in darkness. Sometimes it is best not to wonder about some things because you can get yourself stuck in a loop. You can figure that while we are living we are at the same time dying as all life on earth and possibly in the entire universe, life and death are occurring almost at the same time such as the atoms and molecules are being replaced and reproducing and making copies of themselves on a molecular level but in our own lives, we are somewhere along a ladder from point A to point B and some of us are higher up this ladder while others are below us but are climbing up that ladder at a faster rate and will one day pass us by. The enigma is life and it is not for us to understand it but to embrace life and to accept it and as for death? Who needs it?

...you never really know if you will wake up the next day or ever. ---For that very reason I've wondered why there is no sleep phobia. Or at least I've never heard of it.

@lookatdesktop OK...so it does exist. At least for children.

There was a movie about dreaming where the killer only killed in your sleep so if you stayed awake you would not get killed, but somehow over time, no matter how many cups of coffee, the victims eventually succumbed to a deep sleep and then it came to claim them. It was a pretty good movie but I can not remember the name of it.

You know what I have too many things always on my mind to worry about things like the end. I get up thank the Lord for another day, count my blessings and get on with the job of living.

I like that optimism. It is good that you feel that way about life. Best for me to take your advice and count my blessings and get on with living.

This is interesting. We shouldn’t complicate life more. Let’s live fully day by day. Only then can we not regret even when we die in our sleep.
