Hey guys, What are some of the ways you stay fit other than going to the gym? Personally, I put on a bit of chubs because of knee problems. I want to get fit again, but it's so hard. We naturally become healthier when we are fit. We'll have higher energy levels and be happier. Do you have any weight loss success stories of yours you wanna share?

Going below 100 lbs would be too unhealthy for even smol adults, you must be in your teens? My goal is 110 lbs.

Weght loss success, you're talking about. Yes, I did. I lost 10 kilos from my 70 kilos weight. I control my carbo intake and then do a daily brisk walking. You know why I did it successfu:lly? It's DISCIPLINE.

I do some light brisk walking, but not as effective with knee problems though.

@cherrypuff I see. With knee injury, it's not good to do brisk walking. Just a normal walking probably will do.

I have two horses so I keep fit by riding and doing stable stuff. I used to go to the gym at work, but due to two jobs I haven't had time for that since February. Will start again in the summer, 'cause the horses keep me strong but I need to do some cardio work-out too. I've decided not to focus on the weight for the moment, just on getting fitter.

@cherrypuff It's fun, you should try! Just find someone with a clue to help you, 'cause without a clue, it can be a dangerous sport

Walking, Yoga are the ones that usually work out for me. Walking is the best of all :) Having said that,I won't recommend that to you now, because you have knee problem. It will make the situation worse. Just do some yoga. If you want something to work from your diet, try having honey with hot water after your meal. I've read that burns your fat. If not, drinking hot water after every meal also helps you to make the digestion process easier. Well known but a slow process. Take good care of your health. Good luck to you :)

@cherrypuff What happened to your knee if I may ask?
5 Jun 19
Walking seems like the only thing doable if have knee problems. I wish my apartment had a pool, I could have gotten more of a workout without straining my knees.

@rakski Always had a weak knee due to a childhood accident, but It got worse when I had a bad fall a couple of years back. Now the cartilage and muscle around the knee are really weak making it hard to workout properly and if I put too much pressure the kneecap dislocates slightly.

A lot of my friends has been telling to try yoga, but I have no idea how to get started. I'm not very comfortable going to yoga class.

Yes, diet really is important. Quite a while back before my knee injury when I was able to do cardio on the treadmill, I was not eating healthy. In a couple of months, I put on like 20 lbs despite working out every day. It doesn't help that I have an endomorphic body making it easy to put on weight if I don't work out a lot.

Dancing sounds like a wonderful way to stay fit and even lose weight. I wish I wasn't too self-conscious to dance, even when alone. I know I'm terrible at it even without doing it. :(
