I actually like my name. It sounds ladylike. If I have to choose a name for myself, I would still use the name my parents gave me.

No, I love my name. I have an Irish background, but my name is Ruriko, which is a Japanese name meaning 'Emerald Child'. I love how my parents didn't stick with the plain, everyday conventions of naming, and decided on an unusual name that I wear with pride. I'm so proud of it I've begun to learn Japanese. I'd never change it.
