How do you deal with very itchy red ant bites that are also hot?

oh dear :( i hope such's been tended to 'n yer no longer sufferin' from such. dunno what'cha got 'vailable where ya live? nor'd i be familiar with the ants'n yer neck 'f the woods. here, i make packs 'f epsoms salts to draw out the poisons. sendin' healin' hugs!! bad ants.....bad ants....

@May2k8 most likely food? since i aint certain 'f the kinda ants there, i'd guess'n say other 'nsects 'n grains?

@crazyhorseladycx Even though I noticed there was no food waste, after I cleaned it with a wet cloth there were no ants anymore.

Oh how nasty, I don't think I have ever been bitten by red ants, but it does not sound like a lot of fun.

Oh no they can bite too and itch like crazy and the only thing that comes to mind is what they call Calamine lotion.
Also German chamomile is very good for calming and taking the heat out sorry bout that hope you are okay now.

That must have been terrible. I have never been bitten by ants. I thought they just tickled and didn't know that they bite.

I use apple cider vinegar straight onto any itch and it stops the itch immediately
