Well! I kind of like my name…. I never actually considered it changing. But yes, when it comes to explaining, spelling and pronouncing, I do feel it’s better that I my parents should have gone for something easier. In many cultures, across India, women do change their names post marriage….
Though I am kind of fascinated by name “Sifat” but I am sure that’s not easy either…
Have ever thought of changing your current name, and what would you want to change it into…

I have no memory of my dad. I lost him at young age of 2. He named me after his name Arun. I have always been told that I am a female version of him
. So this name holds a lot of emotional value for me. I feel that this is the only connection I have with my departed dad.

"Sifat" is a very good name. I look for its translation in English and it is "Virtues of allah". Why not use that name?

Oh! for two major reasons....
First- my parents have kept my name after my mothers name... so it can be disheartening.
Second- coming from a Hindu background, they may not like this idea, my parents may get convinced but now that I am married... there can be other issues
