Ending the day with a happy note...

I will call it a day. So the cricket match that kept me occupied for hours has ended. And our country India walked the winners line. . Aussies really gave a tough fight and the match stayed thrilling till the end. These two teams are strong contenders in this tournament. And the best part of the game was few episodes of display of sportsmanship from both sides. That's what is great about any sports. So I end the day with a happy note. You win or you loose, keep up the sportsmanship. It's the spirit that counts. Well done Indiaand a good show Aussies. Good night from this side of planet. A very busy day is awaiting tomorrow.

I like both teams but was a little biased for India and I think that is natural to be.

You're right. Everyone who is playing should have the true spirit of sportsmanship. Win or lose it should be shown.

But they are playing for the World Cu, not a friendly match.

@Sreekala But did you see they were so gracious and showed etiquette. I liked it when Kohli asked the crowd to cheer up for Smith. Friendly or tough fight, cricket has always been gentlemen game.

A great win for India. Superb batting performances by Dhawan, Kohli, and others. Rohit Sharma is now the fastest to cross 2000 runs against any country- in this case Aussies and he took 37 innings. A couple of more records. Bhuvi, Chahal and Bumrah bowled well to contain Aussies.

I too watched this match. Yesterday was Sunday so my son gave me company. One will won and one lost but both team must be maintain sportsmanship. In this match Kuldeep Yadav said sorry to Aussia player when he hit with a throw. Now I am waiting for 13 June. New Zeland is also a strong team.

Yes that was a nice gesture. Even Virat while batting asked his fans and crowd to cheer for Smith.

@arunima25 Shikhar Dhwan sustained fracture in thumb and might take one month in recovery. So it is not possible for him to play in coming matches. Very sad.

Indian performed well this time against Aussies. I have not watched it completely, as I had to attend a meeting in the evening. I am happy for our country, my children were also excited with the performance of India, I realized this as they narrated about the game when I reached home.

It was a good performance by both sides. Australia is one of my favorite side. Had it not been against India, I would have wished for them to win. Their fielding was good and so was of Rahul and Jadeja.

Yes, sportsman spirit is very essential in a game. Winning and losing is part of the game. Indian team did exceedingly well, they did not lose their cool and finished the match in a professional style. Australian team, though tried very hard, but could not surpassed the Indian bowling attack.

But they too performed well. It was an exciting match. I liked Virat's sportsmanship when he asked crowd to cheer for Smith. Though they played aggressively against each other, they proved that it's a gentlemen's game.

Oh! I did. As such I am having a tight schedule and that leaves me with no energy by end of the day. I sleep like a baby.
