I've seen so many examples of those that go to church every Sunday and are the worst people...they treat others with disrespect and sin without regret. Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian...what you do in your daily life speaks volumes as to who you really are.

There are some people who go to church and never let God change their lives. I believe in going to church, but just going doesn't make you a Christian.

A very astute quotation - people who go to church taking it as read that they are more righteous than those who don't is frightfully common

Applies to those who go to synagogue too or temple or whatever else there might be.

I do agree with this quote BUT..... God wants the sinners in Church, he wants them to change and to change they have to be there, to hear his word. God already has me, and I sin, I am not perfect but Church does not make anyone good or bad.

I’m aware of the quote, I’ve heard it many times before, thankfully not all Christians are like that! Thankfully I attend a church where they not only talk the talk but walk the walk!

Sometimes it depends on why they go to church. People who go to Sunday services out of fear, or for entitlement is someone you don't want to be with. Nice people are those who go to church out of choice, for enlightenment, peace or just the hang of it. I'm a church goer, a Roman Catholic. But I can't say how good I am.
