1935 - Inventor Edwin Armstrong gives the first public demonstration of FM broadcasting in the United States at Alpine, New Jersey.
1933 - Gene Wilder (Jerome Sillerman) was born. He was an American actor, director, screenwriter, producer, singer/songwriter and author. Some of his famous movies: Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Silver Streak, Stir Crazy, See No Evil Hear No Evil and Haunted Honeymoon. He died in 2016 of Alzheimer's.
1969 - Peter Dinklage was born. He is an American actor and producer. Some of his movies: The Station Agent, Elf, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Pixels, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri and his most famous - the (2011-2019) HBO TV series Game of Thrones in which he plays Tyrion Lannister for which he won 3 Primetime Emmys and 1 Golden Globe.
