Ten TV Series That "Everybody" Watched Except Me: Magnum PI (#1)

Sorry to be so late in posting this. I had a reaction to my allergy shot yesterday so I had to take care of that. I've also been cleaning house. My back room looks terrific, and all I need to do now is put new flooring down. I might have the TV on for background noise. I've done that a lot, but if you've followed this series you've noticed there were several "classic" series that were never used for that or any other purpose. Here's the show at the top spot...for a reason.
#1: Magnum PI
The "reason" is I was stationed in Hawaii when this aired. I was always getting letters from friends asking if I'd seen Tom Selleck anywhere.
Well, no. Not at the Safeway. Not at the Navy Exchange. And not even on TV.
Can you imagine? Living in Hawaii, and not watching this?
No, I didn't have posters of Tom Selleck on my walls. And I could see guys in uniforms every day of the week, so why watch one on TV?
I guess I was too busy enjoying the real Hawaii to be bothered with the one on the tube.
Now that you know what I didn't watch, stay tuned after this commercial break, and I'll go through ten that I actually did watch!

@yanzalong -- it's very beautiful, beyond description. Of course, every place has its own unique beauty. Hawaii was unlike anything I'd ever seen, because I'd never been to the west coast/Pacific Ocean before. It looks so much different than the Atlantic Ocean (which is what I was used to).

I hated first one, no, obnoxious rich crap is how I always took it I like nice cars but know smug as all hell.

Well, this is where we part ways. I adored Tom Selleck. We were stationed in Hawaii in the mid 60's so we were gone by the time Tom Terrific appeared.

I tried to watch the first episode of this over the weekend and I turned it off, it just didn't hold my attention at all. I'm thinking I never watched it either when it was on. Who can blame you for not watching it when you are in reality living it!!
