Yesterday, in the meditation centre I met this man, who has recently joined our centre. He come in Mercedes Benz, firstly I was astonished to see someone who is coming in such a big car at meditation centre, but then I realised may be he is a big shot... I slowly enquired about him from my fellow... She narrated me his story... He is one big business man, with two children somewhere in mid 40's. He has studied from an esteemed college and is really very well off.... I asked her " then he is here for " She smiled and said " because success, money, cars can't buy you a peace of mind. They can't make you happy and satisfied. Don't take everyone on there face value... You don't know what's the inside story" While traveling back home I was thinking about that man and realised... Paradox of our times is that who has the most is the least satisfied. We have mastered our self to look successful but still don't know much about how to feel satisfied and organise out thoughts...

some people, especially males, focus their whole life on providing for their family. but once financial security is achieved, they lose direction, sense of purpose. especially if their grown children moved away and the grandkids they hoped for are out of reach. so others renew old interests or develop new ones, or give back by helping the community since their own family are already well taken care of. i think it's good that the meditation center accepts anyone regardless of status.

But, when you have kids and family to ;look after, You can't leave everything and go for a peace of mind. thats impossible. as you said, he is rich...really rich. so he has achieved everything he wanted. and then only he is trying to find the peace of his mind. I think he doesn't have much to be worried now, I mean all the kids may be settled in their own families, and have enough money even if he doesn't work.... so what else he need...??? That's the real peace of mind. when you don't have anything to worry about. when you have gained everything you wanted in your life,,, that's the peace of mind. This is what I think... just my thoughts

He didn't say anything... It's what my fellow said... I haven't got a chance to speak to him...

Right. You cannot judge a person by his face. And by the way meditation is a great way to live life. You get inner peace by the help of meditation only.

Interesting part is that everyone has a story! It’s just some people because of their face value seem quite more interesting and we really feel from our perspective for example, a person having kids vs a person not having kids. The one not having kids would look at the other with kids and might think what else he/she needs in life as he/she has the most valuable asset in the form of kids. Little did this person knows that the parent could hardly be making both ends meet.
