Jordan Geller and his friend Angelo Tridente are being called heroes after they were alerted by a close friend of a swimmer whose identity and gender were not disclosed who was having a hard time staying awake in the Ocean City beach on Thursday evening in New Jersey. Geller and Tridente were sitting on the side of the beach when they decided to answer the call of duty to use the surfboard of Angelo to get the semi conscious swimmer who was struggling to stay awake 100 yards from the shore. Jordan then called 911 to report the incident to the authorities. When the medical responders came, they took the semi conscious swimmer to the Shore Medical Center in Somers Point New Jersey where the medical condition of the swimmer is not known at this time. Teamwork in rescuing people in need is one way to save lives .

@marguicha What I know of law enforcement officials is that some young men and women when they are in their college years think they are invulnerable to dangerous situations.

They were not lifeguards since the lifeguards that patrol that beach finished their work day around 5 pm.
