Gross smell

Holy cow last night me and my husband where in our bedroom. We heard this bottle pop which we both went “what the heck was that” I thought it was a water bottle do to the temperature change in the house form hot to cold. Nope we couldn’t find anything then we smelled something coming from the bathroom. We didn’t know what it was but man the smell was disgusting. I told him maybe it was the pipes because ours and the kids bathrooms are back to back and he had been working on the kids shower head which hadn’t been used in forever. We stayed up till 3am trying to make the bathroom not stink. We put spray, burned matches, put an air freshener in there, pours vinegar done the drains. If still smells but it’s not as bad as it was last night. We turns the bathroom fan on, shut the door. So gross!
