Got Cut My Finger Last Night....

It was a bad idea to try one of the knife sharping ideas which I saw on a video on YouTube...
I tried to sharp the knife using my coffee mug, as seen on the picture. suddenly i missed the mug and knife hit my finger. Got cut index finger of my left hand. It was bleeding and bleeding... Kids got scared.
It was ok last night, I didn't feel anything. But now it's hurting....

Being a pocket knife owner, I always got cut by my collection. One even landed on my foot!

@amandajay it was a good thing though that I just got a cut on my foot, nothing serious. Thankfully the Opinel folding knife had wooden handle, which made it lighter. Any heavier and it won't bounce off.

Yes knife cuts does not hurt when you get it and only gets painful after sometime. Hope it is not that deep. I have been cut several times and I know the feeling and the pain you get afterwards. It will feel a little bit hot at the start and then a bit scratchy then when blood starts to bleed then and only time you will feel the pain.

@amandajay Hope it heals fast. mine it took sometime and even when the wound dried up and a new skin grew on it, I can still feel some tingling sensation inside like there is still wound inside. But know itis completely healed already

exactly... now only it's painful. actually its a bit deep cut,just now saw when I change the dressing. yesterday I didn't notice that since it was bleeding

Not very wise. The cup uses the concept of a ceramic knife sharpener, which they have in the stores. I'm sorry you cut yourself!

Oh no. You should go get it checked it out especially if it's still bleeding now. I just ordered a cutting board with a knife sharper. It has high reviews so hopefully it works out for me because we need to sharpen some knives..
