I Have 2 birdbaths which I inherited and while I really like the look of them in the garden, I don't want to let the rain fill them up. I have enough mosquito bites at the moment as it is. I was just wondering if anyone does something different with them?
I would love to use them as bird feeders, but sadly there are no drainage so that is out. :( Any ideas??

I am thinking but I am not coming up with anything different than what has been suggested. THough with the stones maybe succulents might be fun.

That would allow for drainage wouldn't it! Yes, we have tons of "hens and chicks" that might look cute!!

A recyled birdbath will not have mosquitoes. You keep adding fresh water every day. Or you can grow fish in there. There are those tiny fish called guppies

I'm thinking that it might be the easiest route to go. I have a lot to think about now ;)

i've read through responses here 'n aint a whole lot to add outside 'f if'n ya use such with pebbles 'n then planters, yer still gonna get skeeters. ya didn't mention what these bird baths'd be fashioned out'a - stone, ceramic, metal?

You can have somebody drill holes in the bird baths for the drainage holes. It should only take a few minutes to turn into bird feeders if you can find somebody to do it.
