do you like uncommon goods as gifts?

i have been wondering if people around the world prefer unusual designs of items as gifts. do you like.anything common or something you see everyday or something only few have or only you have? example, a lamp with a beautiful design you have never seen before. it may sound expensive but it's worth it. if ever, what items would you like to get?

I prefer to buy things for my house myself, but I love the jewelry my husband chooses for me. He has great taste. I always tell my kids not to get me anything, but they always give me flowers and gift cards to restaurants. My friends usually treat me to lunch or give me gift cards to my favorite store or cute little things. I’m very particular, so prefer buying what I love. What would you like to receive?

your husband seems to know your taste:) and you have a nice friends there. i love jewelry and watches. my aunt used to give me clothes or what but i didnt like the style because they were meant for.old people. i was too young for those style

I love things that I really can use in my daily grind or everyday at home or for my personal use. Though of course, I like unusual things as long as I can use them always.

as long as they are usable there are uncommon that we cannot use them because of the way they were designed

I like sand... I have lots of little jars of it, but I stopped asking for it as I read that the beaches are running out of it! :( All of the different colors amaze me!

I don't think I will be glad to have a lamp or any decorative thing as a gift. I just don't need extra staff at home, as I am minimalist. Rather I would prefer to get a trip to some nice place or some spa treatment
