Here’s the next song on my list of favorites with “summer” in the title. #7: Summer - War And, in honor of JJ, I’m linking the LP version instead of the edited single version below!!! This is the band that did “The World is a Ghetto”? Oh, yeah! Back then bands could vary their sounds! This song is so summertime....and SOOOOOO 70s. Are you going to find a song today that mentions things like, “8-track playing all your favorite sounds” or “rappin’ on the CB radio in your van”??? That’s one of the great charms about this song. It not only celebrates summer now but summers past. “Summer” was released on the first day of summer in 1976. It’s been a celebration of summer every year since.
