Yard work - Finally

After a couple weeks of rain I was finally able to get come home to a semi-dry yard yesterday so I seized the opportunity and cut the grass. It took me a while because, as you can imagine, the grass had gotten a little high from not being able to cut it. During one of my mini-breaks I couldn't help but smile a bit. I noticed that I wasn't the only one trying to get the lawn mowed. You could hear mowers running off in the distance. You could even hear an edger or weed eater every now and then.

@Amadeo - I'm glad it's done though. I even raked up all the cut grass in the back yard so that it didn't create huge brown spots. Plus it would have gotten tracked in the house.

@Beaser and yes it is very messy if you do.I always take my shoes off and brush my self off in case of ticks

@Beaser a constant battle until the plants get big enough to hide the weeds. Then I give up.

ARound here, it seems that there is always someone mowing the lawn somewhere. It gets on my nerves after a while.

@marlina - But don't you like the smell of fresh cut grass? The feeling of walking through your grass barefoot?

@Scrapper88 - I hear ya Keith. I needed to get mine done so that I didn't have to make time to do it this weekend. The weekends are short enough without having to reserve time for yard work.
