There is a woman who is also a mom who is being called a heroine for her actions of getting out of her auto to stop a young boy who was running in the street at the intersection of Valley Drive and Hillside Avenue on Friday before sunset.
The woman does not want to be identified unless the family of the child that she saved from being hit by an auto asks her to come forward so they thank her in person for doing her part to grab the child and hold him until the police arrived so they could reunite him with his mom and his brother who was in the area of the incident.
The heroic woman is living proof of the saying "Heroes do not wear capes." The heroic woman insists she was doing what she thought was the right thing to do.

I guess the mom was distracted when her son ran away from her view.

@rakski That is a good idea to watch over your children.

My guess is that the mom was looking for the child when he ran away on the street by himself. She is shocked that her son ran away from her.

I can understand why she does not want to be identified unless the family wants her to say who she is. She was a real heroine.
