How Strange Life Can Be

I was just reading some interesting facts about two groups we will never forget The Beatles and The Monkees. My thoughts were how strange life can be that now there are only two Beatles left Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr and two Monkees, Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith. Let’s take a look at how these talented singers interacted. • The very first song that Mickey Dolenz wrote was titled “Randy Scouse Git” and it mentions “Four Kings of EMI” which significantly referred to The Beatles. • Peter Tork was a guest guitar player on Wonderwall the very first solo album by George Harrison. • Micky and Ringo appeared together in a Levi’s commercial in 1977. • While hosting a radio show for WCBS-FM in New York, Micky interviewed Ringo. • Micky made a brief guest appearance in “Wings Across America” Paul’s 1976 documentary film. • A Pizza Hut commercial in 1995 included Ringo, Davy, Micky, and Peter. • In his concert film “Back in the U.S.” in 2002 Paul can be heard singing “Hey, Hey We’re the Monkees”. Actually, it all began back in 1967 when The Monkees arrived in England and The Beatles threw them a party at the Speakeasy Club. Mike had dinner at the home of John Lennon and the two with their respective wives became friends. Paul got to know Micky better when he went to a “Sgt. Pepper’s” recording session. When The Monkees came out with their album “Headquarters” it hit the number one spot but of course, had to give up that spot when The Beatles came out with “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. This is life as strange as it might be and it is wonderful that future generations can get to know both The Beatles and The Monkees. Do you like both of these bands?
My next favorite Monkees song. The only other copy of this I could find here was sped up, so probably from a UK print. Excellent, and brilliantly written son...

I think the Beatles wrote one of The Monkees' songs too; but I can't remember for sure.
