"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them."
Andy Bernard
The Office
The good old days for me were in the 1960s and 1970s, especially the 60s. If I knew then how special they were going to be in my memory, I would have savored each day and each piece of music that I heard during that period. I also would have made sure that I kept in touch with more of the good friends that I made during that time.
Also had I known that I would no longer be able to travel, I would have done more traveling during the last twenty years or so.

The good old days for me was childhood playing marbles in the mud and high school walking the corridors at convent school. It was a sheltered life and I felt blessed. Entertainment was Donny and Marie on Saturday night tv, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar delivering the hook shots. Man landed on the moon and people wearing bell-bottom. The Shalom and Kumbaya were real words.

I remember when I was younger then as a newly ordained priest in my 30s, I used to climb peaks here in the Philippines - Mt. Apo, the highest here in the country; my kitanglad, the 3rd highest peak. Much that I would love to pick up my gear, I cannot do it anymore, after a crippling mild stroke last year. Oh that was my good old days.

I was born in early 50s but 60s and 70s music has influenced me much. The Beatles, Herman and the Hermits The Monkees, among others are the bands that led me to sing and play the guitar for self-entertainment.
