In September of 2018 i received a call nobody wants to get. The voice on the other line advised my stepdad was in an accident and didn't make it. Being that he had no real family other than me, that would actually help, I immediately packed and headed to his home. Upon getting there i was greeted by a shaggy old boy who was dirty but friendly. I was told by my stepfather's sister that she made arrangements to be sent to the pound. Over that week i spent time with him. He had been my mother's dog and when she passed he was my stepdad's beat friend. When it came time to leave i couldn't send him to the pound. Needless to say he is now my best friend. This little dude "Sprint" loves me like no other animal ever has. He is the sweetest little guy and I'm so glad i didn't let him go to the pound.

It was sad reading about your step-dad. I am glad, though, that you adopted Sprint. Dogs know when they've been rescued from a bad fate.

@babykeka80 I understand completely. It was the only thing you could do. We adopted my mini schnauzer Ace 4 years ago. He'd been rescued from a kill shelter. As soon as I saw his face on the Rescue website, I knew he was my dog.

@DWDavis can you see his picture? He is a schnauzer. My other 2 are pit mixes that we rescued.

I'm sorry for your loss. =( Oh that was so sweet of you to take him!! All fur babies need love, and I'm sure the love he's giving you is so nice as well. =)

He is just such a lovebug. He always wants to sit in my lap, lay super close, and just cuddle.
