Since we moved in my dogs have been at war with some squirrels that live in the wooded lot next door. The squirrels chatter, drop things at them, and race along the the fence as the dogs follow. Several times the dogs have come close to catching them and i would yell and avoid their untimely demise. Today, Angel (tan in pic) kept wanting out. I see her standing at the back door a bit later with a squirrel in her mouth. He had passed by the time i saw it so we have it a proper burial. I was sad for the little squirrel but couldn't be mad at my pup. She was so proud bringing it to me.

Yes, it is definitely normal. Just makes me feel bad for the critter that didn't make it. I have a soft spot for animals.

@amadeo Exactly. Its their natural instinct though so not much we can do about it.

I felt sorry for the poor little thing. I am surprised it was her because she is overweight and not as spry as she once was but aren't we all lol

I think it is to be expected. Glad you have a fence. Sad for the squirrel.
