"She Went Up The Hill and she Won't Come Back"

Those were words said by the cousin of Vilate, a two year old girl that seemingly vanished into thin air. Vilate's parents lived in Idaho and were visiting the mother's parent's in Utah when the little girl disappeared. An extensive search was made but she was never found. The area she disappeared in was rural, and even though there was a rural road a few miles away, the police did not believe the girl had been abducted. The parents, however, seemed to believe that might have been what happened. They hoped that their child was being treated fairly and that she would be returned to them. The girl was never heard from again. This happened in 1956.
