Lewisville Police Officer Jeff Carey is thankful that a former rugby player named Michael Cabrera and two of his close friends assisted him to tackle a criminal that allegedly stole a car nine days ago in Texas. Michael was with some of his relatives when Officer Carey was looking out for a man who got away from him two hours earlier when the suspect managed to run away from the policeman who caught the criminal rummaging through a stolen car. Barrera who was a former rugby player used his tackling skills to tackle the suspect whose name was not released to the public. Michael admitted that even though he no longer plays rugby, his desire to assist the local police catch criminals with the assistance of his uncle who guarded Officer Carey's auto while the officer went to arrest the suspect on charges of car robbery and evading arrest. A third man who was with Michael and his relatives who were at the restaurant having breakfast admitted that he was happy to assist the police do their job to take criminals off of the streets in Lewisville Texas. Since the national media does not like to report these kinds of stories, the story was shared on Facebook.

It is rare to see these kinds of stories since the shows on television and the news media paint the cops as the villains.

I am sure the criminal knew that his running away from the authorities came to a close quickly when he confronted those other people in the restaurant.
