Day 4
Revelation 2:12
Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things says he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwell, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou hold fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he who receives it.
Stumbling blocks are everywhere tempting you to do things you know you shouldn’t. For instance, knowing you need to shed pounds but you head into the donut shop or the fast food place. How about knowing you need to be at a certain location at a specific time, but your work or hobby keeps you from a promise made? Those are stumbling blocks. You see many of them every day through commercials and seemingly harmless ads everywhere.
Jesus told the church of Pergamos they were on the right track except in one area of their lives, they allowed false doctrine in their midst and it turned the people to compromise.
As Christians, you need to hunt out those stumbling blocks that compromise your faith. A false doctrine is a doctrine that has no basis in God’s Word. You need to study God’s Word daily so you will know when someone tries to invade your spiritual life.
If you don’t know what God’s Word says, every wind of doctrine will tempt you. You won’t know what’s true and what isn’t.
Jesus said everyone who remained faithful to Him and didn’t compromise their faith would receive a white stone with a new name known only to the person He gives it to.
Have you ever wanted a different name? If you remain faithful to God, it will be yours. Many things are yours if you remain faithful. Jesus promised you will eat from the tree of life, receive a crown of life, and now He promised a new name. The benefits of an uncompromised life in Jesus Christ is limitless.
Let’s pray: Father, help me live an uncompromised life in You. Show me the stumbling blocks and remove them. Let me know when I’m listening to false doctrine and keep me faithful to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

@just4him yes right.
A guy is regularly tempting me. He was a friend before but then I found he wasn't actually Godly. He was distracting me from GOD so I left his friendship.
He still tries to connect sometimes but I don't speak to him. I run from the temptation.
My day was beautiful and now it's night. I'll see you tomorrow.
Have a blessed day

@Starkinds That's great. I'm getting ready to leave for the pool. Sun will be up soon. Maybe. It's raining out so maybe no sun today.

What has caught my interest on this scripture is the white stone and the new name written on it. Do you have any idea on what's all about?
