Day 5 Revelation 2:18 Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things says the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and love, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou suffer that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. Do you know people who are manipulative, control hungry, self-centered, want all the attention, are demeaning and cunning? Then it’s possible you have run into a Jezebel spirit. A Jezebel spirit is the most intelligent of all Satan’s demons and once you recognize the nature of the person with the Jezebel spirit you are to get rid of that person before it does permanent harm to you or the ministry. Not all people who have those traits have a Jezebel spirit, however if they have all those traits including destructive in which they cause the death or suicide of a person, that person has a Jezebel spirit. Jesus said you are to get rid of such a person. The church of Thyatira had such a spirit in their midst and they did nothing to get rid of the person. However, there were people who did not follow the person but held true to God’s Word and faith in Jesus Christ. Those who did received honor from God, the power to rule nations. You know those people who hold the highest office in their country who have the welfare of the people in mind and will go through and stamp out crime as much as he or she is able. When you look into their personal history you will see they are Christians first. You will also notice there aren’t many leaders around the world who are Christians first before they are leaders. As Christians, you are to discern the Jezebel spirit and get rid of it in your life and from your midst. The actions and motives of the person will show you whether they have a Jezebel spirit or not. Let the Holy Spirit show you and lead you when dealing with the Jezebel spirit. Let’s pray: Father, help me discern those who stand against You and seek to destroy Your work.
