Rushing Before Power Outage

It is early Saturday of July, but am rushing now to post this before the electric company shuts the power out.
There is an announced power outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m today for some maintenance activities, so I could not myLot till there's power supply again.
Am glad they made the announcement to make us prepare and do things that needed electricity. So sad that I could not check on the internet for some hours, although it could also be a blessing in disguise, I could do offline works at home or go somewhere else to pass away the time.
Do you also experience power outages?

It is better there; no power outages. Yes, it can be a blessing in disguise we can do other things offline.

@acelawrites When I was in my home in Pinas, I had often times power outage. It was very annoying especially when I have something to write online.

Yes, we do have those preventive maintenance outages. They announce it though.
and when that happens, the helper in the house is intructed to cook dinner early not wait for the power to come back lest it will be later in the evening when it happens.
The people in the house would charge their cellphones in anticipation for the long power outage.
Good thing on weekdays when that happens I am at the office.
But take note that I tush ti be out of the house going to he office before the outage begins. he he he

We haven't had power outtages for a while now. But wish it won't happen because my grandma is here and can't stand black out.

Power outage is always unannounced, so I cannot make any preparation. This is worse when the power outage occurs at night.

it seldom happens here, usually just a blink or a flicker, which isn't good also, especially for computers.
i hope it doesn't push through, or does not last as scheduled.

Yes, at least once a month I think. Sometimes, twice. One for our local electric coop's maintenance works and the other from NGCP.
A friend of mine said she will go to SM today because they will have a 9 to 4 blackout... Maybe you are from the same city. Hihihi

It's really a lot of hours without electricity. Yes, today we had a power outage, but it was short.
