Something I Find Astounding

I find it astounding how arrogant we modern humans can be, as a species.
There are things created in antiquity that we can't figure out, much less duplicate. Yet instead of giving our ancestors the credit due them for their intellect, people often resort to wild theories about aliens or time travelers or whatever.
Does this bug the crap out of anyone else, or is it just me?

I've seen that Ancient Aliens program once, it was so annoying!
So yes, it annoys me too. They were as smart as we are, probably had more time since they didn't get distraced by their smartphones, so I think we should give our ancestors more credit than saying "it must have been aliens!"

I watched a few of the "Ancient Aliens" episodes, but the monumental arrogance & simultaneous idiocy it showcased made me have to shut it off after a while, only so much nonsense a person can stand.

@jnrdutton It's quite fascinating how terribly sure they are of their crazy theories.
The person with his hair straight up and Greek name is on some quite funny memes though, so something fun has come from the show.
